Renatus
«As a matter of fact, in Vygotsky’s archive only an English version of this text was initially discovered…»

This publication is an essay of an anonymous blogger Renatus, who reported that “in Vygotsky’s archive only an English version of the text was initially discovered”. This English version of the text, according to Renatus, was subsequently translated into Russian for publication in the Soviet edition of the six-volume Collected Works of Vygotsky (1982-1984). For an English synopsis and analysis of all essential points of the Renatus’s story as it is related to the history of the “benign forgery” see Elkhonon Goldberg’s contribution to this discussion.
